Artwork in General
Since this is deviantART, I should start with explaining about my art in general. Right now, I'm going to start practicing drawing. Probably the reason why my artwork of human characters has been terrible (you can't deny it) is because I've never actually practiced or tried new things in order to improve my artwork. My fencing teacher has told me something like "If all you do is fence, your fencing will only get worse. In order to improve your fencing you must do plenty of drills and practice, and study." this applies to practically every single skill out there, including artwork. So you probably won't see any artwork from me for a while until my artwork has improved considerably. My goal is to make it so my artwork looks like this: [link] . Don't worry though, I'll make sure to post some of my poetry.
BEE: GODDESS
This is an anime saga which I am working on right now. Of course I'm not animating it or anything, I'm simply working on the screen-play. I'm only 13, so it'll be maybe 10 years before this anime actually reaches production. Assuming I can even hire a team to make it for me once I graduate college. So the next 10 years I'll simply be perfecting the entire script to the series.
BEE: GODDESS is going to be a 6 or 7 part series. The first three movies will probably only be 45 minutes long, than each movie afterwords I'll try to make at least an hour long. Anyways, the first three movies will be about Clark Shiba, a writer, who lives in a small city which is isolated from the rest of the world, and even though hardly anybody in the entire town uses any type of machine which produces pollution, the cities amount of smog increases everyday rapidly. After observing a building that is being overrun with a bee infestation, Clark gets an idea for a short story. As he get's this idea, he also get's mixed up with the plans of a mysterious figure who is (supposedly) trying to exploit the powers of Goddess, a bee goddess. The series revolves around Goddess's conflict the "God of Nightmares", another god-like entity, and also the cities growing pollution. Near the end of the series, it get's very heavy on philosophy, such as the on-going conflict between light and darkness, good and evil, religion, pollution, and even over-population.
One reason I want to improve on my art skills so much is so I can properly do the character designs for each character. See, I can imagine them perfectly in my head, but I can't draw them at all. The only character I can draw perfectly is Clark Shiba, and that's only because his character design is identical to the current fictional portrayal of myself (which I am going to change soon).
Hoppy the Dragon
Lastly, I'll explain about the novel I am working on. Hoppy the Dragon is going to be a two-part series which chronical the 200-year life-span of Hoppy, a dragon who sets out to seek enlightenment. The series was inspired by a drawing that my brother did(who is by far a superior artist to me) of a dragon wearing a top-hat. Book I of the series switches from three different characters; Hoppy who is a kind of loving dragon who lives in a world where all dragons are evil. Early in the story Hoppy decides to search for enlightenment, and find answers to why the world is like it is. Than there's Hal, a young boy who wants to do good for the world, but ultimately turns into an antagonist, and lastly Sir Chalador, another young boy who seeks to do good for the world. See, the story for Hoppy the Dragon is a very dark one, and I figured using a character such as Hoppy, a kind peaceful dragon you would usually find in a childrens book, would be a perfect character for the story to revolve around.
So far I have the first 40 or so pages to Book I's manuscript typed out, and the finished thing to Book I's manuscript will probably be somewhere between 100-150 pages.
Honey in the Wind
As far as I'm concerned this project is abandoned.
As far as Life goes in general
Life is pretty good for me right now (despite a few bad things which would be best left unmentioned here). Me and my brothers just got a PS3, and I'm pretty much addicted to it right now. My average hours for playing video-games has gone from 2 hours a day to 3-4 hours, and I've started going to bed at 2:00 AM instead 12:30 AM (I'm trying to change that though). Right now I'm switching from playing LittleBigPlanet, Mirrors Edge (which I borrowed from a friend), and Metal Gear Solid 3. In case you haven't noticed, I'm writing this on Christmas day. Christmas was pretty good, I got exactly what I wanted too. Which was LittleBigPlanet, a Flash drive, and reading material (specifically The Book of Merlyn by T.H. White, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, and the Adventures of Fanboy and Gothgirl by Barry Lyga).
Happy Holidays y'all.
